Violent Night Trailer: David Harbour Is The Best Violent Santa Claus

Universal Pictures is all set to shake up the time-tested image of good ol’ Santa Claus. For the beloved, benign, benevolent white-haired wizard turns vicious and violent in Universal Pictures’ upcoming Christmas release, ‘Violent Night‘. It does not take a genius to realise that ‘Violent Night’ is a funny play of words on the beloved Christmas carol, ‘Silent Night’.

David Harbour‘s Santa Claus in ‘Violent Night’ loves children as usual. He loves granting their wishes too. But if push comes to shove, as it comes in one of the homes he drops into on Christmas Eve, he doesn’t shy away from breaking bones and blowing up puny men. The official synopsis of ‘Violent Night’ will give you an idea of what it’s all about – “When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (David Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”

‘Violent Night’ stars David Harbour, John Leguizamo, Cam Gigandet, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Edi Patterson, and Beverly in D’Angelo. It is directed by Tommy Wirkola, and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
