Vir Das is the poster boy of Indian stand-up comedy when it comes to the International market. The man has been making terrific progress but even after insane controversies, his popularity amongst the Indian English comedy stand-up remains unrivaled.
Regardless, after several events such as “Netflix Is A Joke”, “Vir Das For India”, and even a feature show called Hansmukh, Vir Das is returning. His next comedy special is called “Vir Das Landing”. It will be his fourth comedy special on Netflix.
Just to draw a parallel, his one comedy special is also called “Vir Das Abroad Understandings”. These two shows sound related but we can’t be sure until we see the show that is coming around Christmas time.
The comedy special will be more of a personal storytelling where he will be telling incidents from his childhood.
The show will land on Netflix India on the 26th of December. When it comes to India then Netflix is not known for great comedy shows. Indian Comedy League was nothing more than a torture ride and Vir Das’s shows are always in English. But even after that if Netflix does a good promotion then Vir Das Landing can reap great views.
