After teasing the audience yesterday, makers of Netflix’s next Hindi original ‘Khufiya’ have announced the release date for the film. Inspired by true events and based on an espionage novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’ by Amar Bhushan, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Khufiya’ will land exclusively on Netflix next month.
In the date announcement video launched today Tabu is seen checking the CC TV cameras of the room where Ali Fazal is taking out a photocopy. The printout then unveils the release date of ‘Khufiya’ as 5th October, 2023.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, ‘Khufiya’ is a story about Krishna Mehra, a R&AW operative who is assigned to track down the mole selling India’s defence secrets. All along, grappling with her dual identity of a spy and a lover.
Produced by Vishal Bhardwaj Films, ‘Khufiya’ stars Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. ‘Khufiya’ was announced back in 2021 and is now set for its premiere only on Netflix on 5th October, 2023.
