After the super success of comic Danish Sait’s satirical comedy film ‘Humble Politician Nograj’, here comes a web series based on the outrageous character. The upcoming web series is titled similar to the film. It’s called ‘Humble Politiciann Nograj’, and it is all set to premiere on Voot Select soon. Voot Select has just dropped the teaser and release date for ‘Humble Politiciann Nograj’. The series will premiere on Voot Select on 6th January, heralding a fun, lighthearted start to the new year.
Followers of the Indian stand-up comedy scene are well aware of Danish Sait and his hilarious, irreverent comedy sketches. His 2018 film ‘Humble Politician Nograj’ was a sleeper hit, and became a cult film for comedy enthusiasts. It is, however, in Kannada, and thus not many outside of the linguist confines know about it.
Now that Voot Select is bringing back the character in series a wider audience will be able to enjoy the quirky character and its satirical humour.
‘Humble Politiciann Nograj‘ on Voot Select will be a 10-episodic series. It will have Danish Sait reprise his role as the narcissistic and self-serving civil servant, Nograj. Directed by Saad Khan, the series also stars Prakash Belawadi, Vinay Chendoor, and Disha Madan in pivotal roles.
Humble Politiciann Nograj aims to serve its audience with its quirky characteristics as the show takes on ‘resort politics’. Nograj is a chauvinistic, naughty, yet street-smart politician who is on a mission to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka. It promises to be a refreshing take on a hard-hitting topic that normally borders on the serious. The series will trace Nograj’s journey as a corrupt and funny civil servant which promises to be a roller coaster through a satirical take on existing political and societal vices like corruption, greed, hunger for power and rivalries.
