V’s BGM Copied? The Director Admits?

When the trailer for Nani starrer V arrived , apart from the talk of the movie there was one more issue that was debated more than anything and that was the Background music of the movie. The fans of south Indian cinema quickly spotted that the bgm used in the trailer is similar to some other works of the South Indian industry. But when the entry scene of Nani arrived the music was very very similar to the Tamil movie Ratsasan. After the movie was released on Amazon Prime there were countless mentions about the plagiarism in the form of the background music. In Twitter netizens started comparing the two tunes and started questioning the director and the music director as well. The Background score of the film is composed by Thaman while the songs has been done by Amit Trivedi.

The director of the movie Mohana Krishna Indrganti recently clarified on the issue which was in the form of hot lava these days. He said that ” I am also a trained musician and I know the music well, the music of both the films are similar in style of making but completely different regarding the melodies and the tune. He pointed out that due to the similar styles they are sounding similar but in reality they have nothing in common. He also pointed out that Mahesh Babu’s 1 Nenokkadine has similar style of the music but that doesn’t mean that they are copied.

He later mentions that Amit Trivedi originally was supposed to do the BGM work but due to his prior commitments to other works he wasn’t able to do it so they opted for Thaman and they are happy about it.

Director Mohana Krishna Indrganti said that the trolls generally do it for fun and he doesn’t takes it seriously ( on blaming for copying ) and urges everyone else to not take seriously as the music isn’t copied.
