This is for everyone that watched the latest episode of WandaVision and are just as confused as us. For the first 3 episodes, we were going with the flow of what was actually being shown. Wanda and Vision and their daily, confusing lives in the town of Westview, even though it felt like we were in Math class with no idea what the teacher was saying, we played along quite well. Then came the 4th episode and things started to make sense now, just a tad bit more and our own true takeaway apart from everything else is that Wanda is controlling everything.
Just when we thought we were catching up, episode 5 of the season dropped and things started clearing up a bit. It seemed like Wanda was controlling everything and everyone around her. While that happens inside the Westview, the outside saw the return of Dr. Rambeau and she herself tries to unearth everything that actually is going on inside. Even though it somehow starts to solve, there are still a lot of confusions going on around everywhere.
For instance, maybe not everything and not everytime Wanda is the one controlling all of that. There has to be something more than just Wanda’s own powers in Westview, but one of the biggest takeaways from Episode 5 is the entry of Quicksilver during the end of the episode. The entry of Quicksilver can probably mean a lot of things here.
Evan Peters is the one who came in as Pietro Maximoff in the 5th Episode and he is the Quicksilver for the X-Men Universe, whereas originally in the MCU Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the role of Quicksilver. Could this mean that the X-Men Universe and MCU come together at some point in the phase 4? Maybe there will be an actual multiverse that includes X-Men too.
All of them might be possible as Fox finally has moved into Disney, which also houses Marvel Studios. All under one roof now, there shouldn’t be issues legally, if they introduced each other’s characters into their movies and shows. Many have speculated that since Evans Peters been playing the role of Quicksilver way before Aaron Taylor-Johnson, maybe the companies have decided to only include Evan Peters into the scene. Since, it is just what’s happening in Wanda’s own world Quicksilver might not actually be back in reality.
With all the theories going around and the confusing happenings of Westview has taken quite a toll on people’s processing of what can and what cannot happen in MCU. The answers will only be out in further episodes and also in further shows and movies of both the franchises.
