The globally popular streaming service Netflix is known for its intuitive interface on its mobile and web apps. In order to make content discovery easier and more efficient for its subscribers, the OTT giant has now introduced a new feature / tab called ‘My Netflix’.
The brand new ‘My Netflix’ tab, which is being described as a “one-stop shop tailored to you”, has been placed instead of the ‘Downloads’ tab. As of now, the ‘My Netflix’ tab has been made available for the mobile iOS apps and it is expected to roll out soon on Android devices starting from early August.
By using the newly launched ‘My Netflix’ feature, Netflix OTT users can now access their downloaded content (for offline viewing), the movies and series they have given a thumbs-up, titles which they have saved in ‘My List’, reminders for upcoming titles, titles which they are presently watching and their recently watched movies and shows, etc.
So, instead of browsing the Netflix app for different things, the brand new ‘My Netflix’ tab / feature will serve as a one-stop destination for accessing all of the aforementioned things. So, the new feature is also expected to make browsing on Netflix more seamless and uncluttered.
The content which you will see on the ‘My Netflix’ tab of your mobile device would depend on how much you interact with Netflix. That is, how many movies and series you have rated and how many titles you have previously added to your watchlist. So, the more you interact, more personalized content will accordingly reflect in the ‘My Netflix’ tab. For instance, if you had earlier seen and liked a series like ‘CAT’, then Netflix might recommend a somewhat similar title like ‘Kohrra’ and so on.
