Warner Bros. Discovery has announced three HBO originals for the Thailand slate intending to make a boost in the Asia Original contents in Thailand. The three projects include a fantasy action film ‘Khun Pan 3’, a cooking series ‘MarkKim+ Chef’ and a reality series ‘Deane’s Dynasty’.
The high society reality show ‘Deane’s Dynasty’ is somewhat similar to ‘The Kardashians’ and tells the story of Lydia and Matthew Deane, a celebrity couple handling fame, money and more. Lydia is a singer and model and Matthew too is a singer turned actor and they saw huge fame at an early age.
In MarkKim + Chef, a celebrity couple, Kimberley Anne Woltemas and Mark Prin Suparat are going to learn to cook wonderful Thai dishes from masters of the culinary arts.
‘Khun Pan 3’, on the other hand, is the third feature in the Khun Pan franchise by Sahamongkolfilms. The film will tell the story of a sorcerer fighter who takes on a dangerous mission to catch some ferocious bandits in the 1950s, just after World War 2. The movie is from a very popular franchise and it has a separate fan base in the Thai audiences.
The three titles will be released simultaneously on HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery’s local streaming service HBO Go. The release dates of these projects have not been revealed yet but there will be some official announcement soon.
The Thai content industry is growing day by day and HBO partnering local production houses to create relatable regional content will be good for the industry.
