Watch Dogs Is Now Getting A Live Adaptation Twist

We are now living in an era where video game adaptations are the new CBM, and the success of “Five Nights At Freddy’s” manages to be the first domino in the chain reaction. But this hit formula will definitely be used by multiple studios, and this time, “Watch Dogs” will get the live adaptation treatment.

For this project, Sophie Wilde is chosen to be the face; she already had a strong performance in “Talk To Me.”

Renowned French genre director Mathieu Turi helms the film, with Christie LeBlanc, who penned Netflix’s “Oxygen,” providing the original screenplay, revised by Victoria Bata. Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann produce for New Regency Pictures, joined by Margaret Boykin for Ubisoft Film & Television.

The makers are determined to release any details; still, the video game storyline can give us a rough idea.

The game’s storyline, shrouded in secrecy, unfolds across fictionalized versions of real cities and time periods. Players take on the roles of diverse hacker protagonists entangled in urban criminal underworlds. Antagonists range from corrupt corporations to rival hackers, all exploiting the city-wide ctOS network, which players can manipulate for tactical advantage.
