Streaming giant Netflix recently took to Twitter to announce an interactive global Livestream event to be held on May 13, 2021.
The post stated that “If you want to unlock the first 15 minutes of #ArmyOfTheDead you’re going to have to do some digging (literally). RETWEET this tweet for updates on an exclusive look at the film on May 13th, 10AM PT.”
It seems that the makers of the upcoming Zack Snyder directorial zombie heist film ‘Army of the Dead’ are leaving no stone unturned to inventively market the film for a global audience.
Around a month ago, Netflix and Zack Snyder had launched an ingenious ‘Crack the Code’ marketing campaign, that invited the fans to find a hidden URL in order to get selected for a trailer preview event. The campaign was a smash hit which enhanced the curiosity quotient around the film.
And now, the film’s prospective viewers and fans from all over the world can soon join the interactive Livestream event to unlock the first 15 minutes of ‘Army of the Dead’. So, get set to do some digging.
When we visited the YouTube channel of Netflix, it was stated therein that if we want to win this prize (sneak peek of the first 15 minutes), we should help in the comments, so we would have to be signed in for that.
The information was followed by the words “Report here for your mission briefing starting May 13 at 10AM PT sharp. This mission is not for the faint of heart. Viewer discretion advised.” The Livestream event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 10:30 PM (Indian Standard Time).
‘Army of the Dead’ revolves around a group of mercenaries (lead by Dave Bautista), who accept a dangerous mission to execute a virtually impossible heist in the zombie-infested Las Vegas.
The film is slated to release in select theatres on May 14, 2021, and will subsequently start streaming on the Netflix streaming platform from May 21, 2021, onwards.
