‘Hannibal‘ is an American psychological thriller series based on the best seller books like ‘Red Dragon’, ‘Hannibal’ and many others by famous writer Thomas Harris. The famous television series of three seasons is created by Bryan Fuller and is directed by various directors like Adam Kane, Neil Marshall etc. It has a superb cast of Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Caroline Dhavernas, Hettienne Park, Lawrence Fishburne and many more.
Hannibal is not a regular psychological thriller, it is much deeper and more philosophical than all others. It is inspiring in every sense. There are few shows as artistically executed as Hannibal.
Hannibal Lecter is a psychiatrist who helps the FBI with psychological profiles of serial killers, but things change when the audience gets to know that he himself is a terribly disturbed serial killer. Mads Mikkelsen is unbelievable in his performance as the lead. Hugh Dancy plays Will Graham, a disturbed psychological profiler who hunts the smart serial killer Hannibal. Will Graham and Hannibal’s chemistry is not a Tom-and-Jerry like chase and hunting chemistry. It is sometimes doubt, sometimes praise, sometimes angst. Some people believe that the protagonist and antagonist may also be in love with each other.
After the Oscar winning performance of Anthony Hopkins in ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’, it was difficult to imagine somebody else in the character of Hannibal, but Mads made the character completely his own.
You would not believe how aesthetic a web series on a serial killer and his adventures can be. The visuals are awesome and they are accompanied by beautiful music with marvelous editing.
