Mita, the mistress, dies a sudden death in an accident and Kaushik is completely shattered after that. His relationship with his wife too is in strains and he tries to repair that. The movie is an emotional ride and will leave you with tears.
It has been adapted from the story of famous writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay. Shirshendu’s stories are often simple but intricately woven with some deep subtle stream of emotions flowing inside. Dosar is no exception. The cinematography is handled by Abhik Mukhopadhyay. The film was screened at many international film festivals and got many awards. It got National Film Award – Special Jury Award as well for the lead role.
