Yes, he is Batman! The fan-favourite Caped Crusader, Michael Keaton, will appear in DC’s upcoming phenomenon, The Flash. The actor is on a whole new level these days, thanks to MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) for breathing new and much-needed fire into his acting career. This is why we are bringing a highly underrated Keaton flick for you, The Founder, streaming on Prime Video.
In The Founder, Keaton portrays McDonald’s former CEO and prominent American businessman, Ray Croc. The biographical flick showcases the businessman’s journey of buying the popular fast-food restaurant chain and taking it to new heights of success. He brilliantly displays the character’s ruthlessness which helped Croc to throw the original founders out of the company. The businessman was the only person who actually believed that Richard and Maurice McDonald made a world-changing burger.
Keaton delivers a complex and nuanced performance in the film. He excels at capturing the charm and ruthlessness that made Croc such a highly successful businessman. He displays determination but also brings out the character’s dark side on the screen.
Keaton’s entire acting journey is nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. The actor first rose to prominence after delivering a standout comedic performance in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (1988). But it was the director’s Batman (1989) that made him an overnight sensation. However, his career’s growth abruptly halted in the early 2000s. Critical and financial disappointments like First Daughter (2004) and Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) added cracks to his acting career. But it all changed after Marvel roped in the actor for the supervillain character Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Helmed by John Lee Hancock, The Founder stars Michael Keaton, Nick Offerman, John Carroll Lynch, Linda Cardellini, Laura Dern, and B. J. Novak. The film is available on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
