Wednesday Season 2 Sneak Peek Trailer Teases Darker Family Drama

Netflix has unveiled a new sneak peek trailer for Wednesday Season 2, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular sharp-witted, dark, and too-smart-for-her-own-good protagonist.

Starring alongside Ortega this season are Emma Myers (Enid), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester), Joanna Lumley (Grandmama), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), and more.

The new clip teases what fans can expect from Season 2 in terms of storylines and character development. One of the primary arcs this season is the exploration of the mother-daughter relationship between Wednesday and Morticia. Showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough confirm that Catherine Zeta-Jones will receive more screen time this season compared to Season 1.

Another character getting more spotlight is Pugsley (Ordonez), Wednesday’s younger brother, who has been described as “the outcast among the outcasts.” He will struggle to find a true friend at Nevermore Academy, and his bond with his father, Gomez (Guzmán), will also be explored in the upcoming episodes.

Joanna Lumley joins the cast in Season 2 as Wednesday’s Grandmama.

Additionally, the sneak peek hints that the new season will delve deeper into characters who didn’t receive much attention in Season 1, while also revealing more of Nevermore’s secrets and history.

Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two parts: Part I on August 6 and Part II on September 3. Stay tuned for more updates.
