Wednesday Season 2 Trailer Reveals Hyde, Dolls, But Not Lady Gaga

The first official trailer for Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 marks the return of Jenna Ortega as the morbid, dark, sarcastic, and rebellious titular protagonist. The streamer has announced that the second season of the globally prominent Tim Burton series will arrive in two parts. The first part drops on August 6, while the second follows on September 3.

Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, for the first time, willingly returns to an educational institution—Nevermore Academy. Joining her this season is her younger brother, Pugsley (played by Isaac Ordonez), who seems more excited than his sister to be at the Academy.

Season 2 also features Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones, reprising their roles as Gomez and Morticia Addams, respectively.

The new teaser for the second season begins to reveal the central conflict. One disturbing scene shows Wednesday bound to a chair, surrounded by possessed dolls—one of which giggles ominously. We also get confirmation of Tyler’s (Hunter Doohan) return, including his terrifying Hyde transformation. Hints of a previous jailbreak now appear to be real, as Wednesday is seen confronting Hyde, seemingly about to give him orders.

Familiar faces like Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) are back, and we get our first glimpse of Steve Buscemi, along with a glamorous new take on Grandmama, played by Joanna Lumley. However, the teaser doesn’t show Billie Piper or Lady Gaga, much to the disappointment of some fans.

The new clip from Wednesday Season 2 also teases a more colourful and joyous persona from Enid (Emma Myers), Wednesday’s werewolf roommate.

Here’s the new trailer for Wednesday Season 2. Stay tuned for more updates.
