An immigrant is a label that hardly unsticks the identity of those millions of Indians who shift to other countries for a better living standard.
No doubt, some Indians have worked terrifically and made humongous names for themselves. The hotel chains in the USA are phenomenal examples of the same.
American streaming giant Hulu is making a film on one such character. Somen “Steve” Banerjee essayed by Kumail Nanjiani. Mind you that Kumail played the role of Kingo in Marvel’s Eternals.
It is called Welcome To Chippendales and the title is the name of the famous and sensational company.
The film will tell the darker crime story behind “Welcome to Chippendales” in his huge chain.
For the unversed, Chippendales is a touring troupe with tempting male strippers and are extremely popular in the USA. So much so that Somen Banerjee got many of his rivals, and business partners killed for ruling solely on his empire.
Apart from Nanjiani, Welcome To Chippendales will star Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis, and Annaleigh Ashford in important roles.
Quentin Plair, Robin de Jesús, Andrew Rannells with Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Dan Stevens are also going to be a part of the cast.
Regardless, the film will start streaming on Hulu on 22nd November.
In India however, there are high chances that the movie will drop on Disney+Hotstar. But there might be a delay in the release date.
