Well-Known Director Apurva Lakhia to Make a Web Series With Saqib Saleem as Lead

Another hotshot Bollywood director is gearing up to make a web debut. News coming in tells us that well-known director Apurva Lakhia will make a web series for Voot, Viacom 18’s streaming platform.

Reportedly, the series will be called Raftaar, and it will be a thriller in the spy genre. According to media reports, Lakhia has even zeroed in on his male lead for the web show. It is to be, in all likelihood, Saqib Saleem, who had made his own web debut a year ago with ZEE5‘s Rangbaaz.

Apurva Lakhia is the man behind the radical ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, the film that redefined gangster movies in the country after RVG’s Satya. Apurva Lakhia writes all his own movies, apart from directing them.
