West Duchovny is set as a lead opposite Victoria Pedretti and Josh Bonzie in Hulu’s eight-episode series “Saint X“. The script is penned by writer Leila Gerstein while Dee Rees is attached to direct.
Based on the Alexis Schaitkin novel of the same name, the show is best described as a psychological drama narrated via multiple timelines and through multiple perspectives. The show follows a young woman’s mysterious death amidst a Caribbean vacation and the ripples the trauma instills on the surviving sister thereby pulling her to traverse a dangerous pursuit of truth and justice. Pedretti plays Emily, the surviving sister whose near perfect life crumbles post the traumatic incident. Bonzie is said to be playing Clive ‘Gogo’ Richardson’, a shy and warm-hearted 20-year old man who changes into a hardened man decades later. Duchovny is said to play Alison, a charismatic young woman who begins to look and criticise her own privilege as she vacations with her family.
“The Handmaid’s Tale” writer Gerstein penned the project while also executive producing it with director Dee Rees (Mudbound). Saint X is a production of ABC Studios.
Duchovny, currently appears in Colin West’s sci-fi comedy drama “Linoleum” with an upcoming role in Netflix’s “Painkiller”, a limited drama series about the opioid crisis and the standing of Purdue Pharma.
