HBO showcased a new trailer of the eagerly awaited sci-fi series Westworld at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con. It had a much better glimpse of the world the third season is set in compared to the one that came around the grand finale of Game of Thrones.
It is back to the tone of the first two seasons with characters acting all mysterious and chaos reigning in all over. The underlying theme is revealed, albeit in a slightly haphazard manner. Those who aren’t following the series might be entirely lost looking at the visuals, and the proceedings it hints.
The creators Jonathon Nolan and Lisa Roy have brought the vital characters out of the part and into the real world. The action this time is set here with the addition of new faces, most notable being Aaron Paul. He was seen less compared to the previous trailer, though. The focus was on existing characters essayed by Even Rachael Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffry Wright, and Tessa Thompson.
It is the eclectic cast and some mind-bending narrative employed by the makers using the familiar sci-fi tropes that made the show very popular. The latest trailer promises to further the impact and bring a new dimension, as well. Westworld airs on HBO in 2020.
