What Are 2023’s Most Streamed Originals On OTT?

The COVID era gave OTT platforms a major boost, and that boost is helping them be the primary choice for entertainment. Even this year’s global box office was defeated by Netflix’s annual numbers. Last year’s OTT performance was astronomical, and that is reflected in the stats.

Among all the platforms, Apple TV saw a ginormous rise in terms of statistics, especially with some of the most acclaimed series. Though not in terms of quantity, in quality basis, they are defeating the big platforms with ease.

Netflix, as you can expect, manages to dominate the list with 7 titles in the top 10. On the tenth place, The Lincoln Lawyer manages to get the 10th spot with 11.8B minutes watched. On the ninth place, Netflix’s Outer Banks manages to get a place with a whopping 12B minutes.

Then at the eighth place, Star Wars’ and Disney’s The Mandalorian, it managed to register 12.3B minutes in the past year. Then, it is again Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse, one of the children’s series, registering 12.8B and occupying the seventh place.

For the sixth place, the action-packed Jack Ryan fights for its place with a whopping 12.8B minutes as it follows Netflix’s Love is Blind with 13.1B minutes under the belt.

Netflix has three consecutive places starting with Number 4, Virgin River takes the place with 13.7B minutes watched and has Ginny and Georgia at the third place with 13.8B minutes watched.

The Night Agent also managed to get a surprising second spot, but the audience’s response justifies the statistics. Also, with a 7.5 IMDb rating, the show is indeed a loved one by the fans.

And now comes the first spot, Ted Lasso managed to grab the top spot, and that too with Apple TV with 16.9B minutes. The feat is indeed a really interesting one as Apple TV has fewer subscribers than most of its competitors and still registers such big numbers, which is definitely an achievement to be celebrated.
