The makers of KGF 2 had already announced that the film will be arriving in theatres on the 14th of April. It is all but confirmed that Thalapathy Vijay‘s Beast will also be releasing in theatres on the same day – 14th April. A direct head-on clash between these two South Indian biggies at the box office looks imminent. But what is the one massive advantage Beast has over KGF 2? Here is a look into it.
While Beast is a proper commercial entertainer, KGF is more of a heavy-duty action drama that has a serious narrative. Naturally, Beast has the upper hand as far as the audio album goes. There is scope for coming up with catchy dance numbers that cater to the masses. The recently released audio single from Beast – Arabic Kuthu has emerged as a raging hit and it is clocking record number of views. This shows that the hype surrounding Beast is for real. Anirudh is one of the very best music composers down South and it is assured that he will deliver a chartbuster audio album for Beast. Needless to say, a winning audio album will come a long way in building great pre-release buzz for Beast.
On the other hand, there is not much scope as far as the audio album goes for KGF 2. At best, the unit can release one dance number which is presumably the item song. But that is just about it. Given the theme of the film, there can’t be any funky dance numbers that have the potential to cater to the wider section of the audience. So, this is one aspect that KGF 2 will be lagging behind when compared to Beast.
That said, KGF 2 is already one of the most anticipated pan-India films that is sure to set the box office on fire. The onus will be on the unit to come up with a winning theatrical trailer. Meanwhile, Beast can create all the hungama and amp up the hype game with blockbuster songs.
