What Led To A Brand New Spark Among Fans For Netflix’s Long Lost “Narnia”?

Netflix is fast becoming a hub from new series that are grand in every sense. The streaming platform over the years has topped itself with some exclusive and expensive content. Netflix brings freshness to the viewers with its latest series and as people have started liking more and more Game Of Thrones-esque shows, it is investing more on fantasy shows. Netflix has brought up an obsession of people with mythical, fantasy, magical, royal, regal characters and it has had quite big plans for some years now.

Recently Netflix witnessed success in Shondaland’s latest series “Bridgerton, which fulfilled people’s wish for a good regal and royal drama. Next came Winx Club and Shadow & Bones, which was enough to fulfil people’s thirst for magical and fantasy shows. And as a matter fact, all these have been greenlit for another season. But, one more series that was much talked about was “Narnia”. Yes, Netflix, some years ago grabbed the rights for fantasy novels to be created into Netflix original movies and series.

Yup, you heard us, Netflix was on it to produce movies and also series that too with planned out spin-offs. Now, we all know how big of an Narnia has had on children and adults alike, specially the ones growing up in 2000s. Narnia, just like Harry Potter, was the perfect escape for all the lovers of mystery, magic and myths. So, when Netflix announced that a Netflix series on Narnia is in progress 3 years ago, fans couldn’t keep their calm. But, that was it. that was actually “IT”. After that announcement, there was no news of what went on with the series or even for the matter, films.

It was in 2018, that the news was announced, in 2019 news was out that Mathew Aldrich was the creative director hired for the show. Given the pre-production Netflix for sure, thought to begin the show by the end of 2019 but then the world was hit by one of the most deadly pandemics. Later in 2020, the twitter handle of “Netflix France” gave fans a hint that Netflix is actually working on these series, but we might not hear about it a lot. Along with Narnia, this included the much anticipated “Cowboy Bebop”, “Bridgerton S4 & 5”, Ozark final season, “Elite 3, 4”, “Sex Education 3”, “You 3” and few more. Out of all these, we definitely got Elite 3 and Sex Education 3 and we already know about Bridgerton, so hopes are high that Netflix might give us more updates soon about Narnia.

The rage surfaced once again on fansites, because of Amazon Prime Video’s recent post about “Lord Of The Rings” epic photo. Fans are now expecting a grand show that can easily get a good competition to Lord of The Rings series. But to the fans of both these franchises? We are more than ready to binge watch both these shows, whenever it drops, but lets hope that just like how Amazon dropped Lord of The Rings, “Narnia” gets an update soon.
