Too many releases can be overwhelming. We don’t want you to try every film or series because some are really torturous. On the other hand some titles are a must watch for every film lover. That’s why we decided to help you decide what to watch and skip.
Here you go for this week’s release.
Companion on JioHotstar (Watch it)
This one’s for the sci-fi lovers. It is a futuristic love story with a haunting tone and a tech twist. It’s moody, emotional, and not your usual weekend binge.
Heads of State on Prime Video (Skip it)
John Cena, Priyanka Chopra and Idris Elba running around the globe trying to save the day? No, please. We have seen of western films where an American is the saviour. This movie is not worth it.
The Old Guard 2 on Netflix (Skip it)
Charlize Theron is back swinging axes and breaking bones. But he should not have been back. This film is a torture and it should never have been made. Do yourself a favour and skip.
The Sandman Season 2 Volume 1 on Netflix (Watch it)
Dream returns, and the stakes feel even more personal. It’s darker, trippier, and somehow even more beautiful than before. You can watch it.
Thug Life on Netflix (Please skip)
We don’t even need to stress how underwhelming the film is. The reviews and box office collection fairly represents that the film is not worth watching.
Good Wife on JioHotstar (Skip it)
Priyamani steps into the courtroom, juggling legal chaos and personal mess. She is sharp and a marvel to watch but there is nothing else worth watching. It is a very underwhelming drama and JioHotstar should have scrapped it after the Kajol’s version fell flat.
Kaalidhar Laapata on ZEE5 (Watch it)
A quiet film about an unexpected bond between a man and a child during the Kumbh Mela. This film has flaws but it is a heartwarming film that you will not regret watching. Abhishek has delivered one of the finest performances of his career.
The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case on SonyLIV (Please Watch it)
A chilling deep dive into one of India’s most shocking assassinations. It is told like a gripping crime thriller, but it’s all real. The series is very well made, and you will enjoy it.
Uppu Kappurambu on Prime Video (Skip it)
A small-town satire with big laughs and weird problems. But it is a very weak film. The comedy is totally out of place. Even the people who understand Telugu are going to have a tough time liking this film.
