‘Talmar Romeo Juliet’ has been out on OTT for a few days now, but there are no talks regarding the show on social media. People seem to be not interested in the show at all.
But the promotions of the show went quite well. The new actors that were taken for the lead roles were quite good too. The music was good and the dialogues were written really well. Above all, Talmar Romeo Juliet has used the north Bengal dialect extensively in it. But still there is no hype around the show.
It does not seem very probable that people did not want to see the show as Anirban Bhattacharya had a major role in it and he is constantly going through controversies currently. The marketing too was done well and it is really a surprise that it is not a buzzed title all over India already. This did not happen with Mandaar. Mandaar became so popular that it was dubbed in Hindi as well. There is a slight chance that ‘Talmar Romeo Juliet’ too will find its audience but a bit late. For now, the makers need to carry on the promotions as long everybody knows about it. An adaptation like Talma must not go unnoticed and the platform needs to use some innovative ideas for promoting it now.
