What’s Cooking At Marvel’s Specials? Ghost Rider, Nova or Blade

What's Cooking At Marvel's Specials? Ghost Rider, Nova or Blade.

The head of TV at Marvel, Brad Winderbaum, recently gave us a hint at what we can expect in the future of Marvel and its Disney+ featurette Marvel’s SPECIAL. Now we have had a number of specials. The most loved of them being the Werewolf By Night and the Guardians Holiday Special. Taking that as the basis, we can have some ideas about what we can and cannot expect.

Starting off with Feigi’s earlier statement. As he mentioned, one project is already in works, we can assume this to be some sort of tie in to the current Marvel line-up. It could be a Mephisto special, who is set to debut in Iron Heart. Speaking of iron, an Armor Wars set up would make sense as the project is shelved for now and the audience would like to have something to chew on. And if that is the case, then perhaps the top contender for such an honor should be Mahershala Ali’s Blade or maybe even Kit Harrington’s Dane Whitman.

What about something fresh instead? Well, to suit such a taste, MCU can take the liberty of finally introducing Ghost Rider. There are enough flameheads to choose from. Or we can finally see the Nova Corps in a crime noir featurette. Or if the studio is feeling gutsy enough, we can flesh out the world of Underworld fighting as touched by Shang Chi. Perhaps with some lesser-known mutants to establish their presence in the Marvel world in a Mortal Kombat style project.

There can be enough stories the studio may pick up and build upon. Perhaps we can see more backstories being fleshed out. Or some shenanigans of the side characters. The possibilities are endless. The next Special might just drop by next year in 2025.
