Blade is making Marvel fans wait like nothing else, and the drama surrounding it is probably better than the entire screenplay. As of now, Yann Demange has exited the film, making him the second director to leave the project after Bassam Tariq did the same in 2022.
Regarding the elephant in the room, Mahershala Ali is still the lead despite rumors about him leaving the project.
The uncertainty of the project is killing the fans. If it were any other studio, they would have killed the project by now. But Marvel has other plans; they want to keep this project alive and are actively casting as well.
This is very strange because the project has been officially in the works for five years, and even longer unofficially.
Now, Mia Goth is being associated with the project, which is a big deal for her career. During an interview, she stated, “They really care … they want to make a great movie. That’s the sense I get from them.”
Even though they are testing the patience of the fans, the time they are taking is way too much, especially when they are working on major films simultaneously. Blade played a significant role in the pre-Avengers era, but now fans might just let it down.
