It’s been a while now that Amazon Prime Video has made any announcement on some of its much awaited and popular web series sequels like Made in Heaven and Panchayat and this absolute silence has the fans getting restless by the day. Moreover, it isn’t just the sequels but some brand new ones too!
Three years ago on March 8, 2019, ‘Made In Heaven’ premiered on Amazon Prime Video and made huge waves. The show’s success was such that one of the lead actors Arjun Mathur got nominated for the International Emmy Award 2020 for the Best Performance by an Actor. But the real wonder here is when is the second season going to arrive.
Well the wait might be over soon! Sobhita Dhulipala, another lead star of the show took to Instagram yesterday to reminisce old memories on the three year anniversary of the show and shared some BTS pictures of season 1. But the best part was when she revealed that an “INSANE” season two of Made in Heaven will be dropping in a few months on Amazon Prime Video.
While it’s an incredible news, interestingly the actress has taken down almost all her promotional posts of Made In Heaven season 1 including the one where she shared the news of beginning of season 2!
It’s not just ‘Made In Heaven’, the case of The Viral Fever’s ‘Panchayat’ season 2 is as curios as it gets. While the shooting for the same started last year, the streaming platform has no official update on the same.
Another web series to join this list (not a sequel though) is Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Fallen’ (working title) that was announced on the occasion of women’s day last year. There’s no word about when it’s gonna premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
‘Fallen’ is an investigative cop drama from Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby Films and Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. It is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi and stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Verma, Sohum Shah and Gulshan Devaiah among others.
Amazon Prime Video’s silence and secrecy on these highly anticipated shows is intriguing. Also, the cause of such long delays remains mysteriously unknown. But going by their trend and if all goes well, these aforementioned shows should surely be dropping soon in a few months.
