Walt Disney has sold its share in Tata Play. This sale values Tata Play at about $1 billion, according to a report.
Disney is making this move as it focuses on merging with Reliance Industries. This purchase increased Tata Sons’ ownership in Tata Play to 70%, making Tata Play a joint venture between Tata and Disney, with Tata owning 70% and Disney owning 30%.
So, this is the reason behind the removal of Star Channels from Tata Play. But the question remains…why only website?
