The advent of technological integrations into cinema has made it a much more immersive experience for users. Moreover, viewers feel more connected to the plot of the film / series itself when they are treated as the characters. A prime example of this is ‘Black Mirror: Bandersnatch’, the immersive film from Netflix that lets the users choose their own plot.
However, some films succeed in achieving the aforementioned effect even without giving the audience the freedom to choose their own storylines. And 2024’s ‘Late Night With The Devil’ accomplishes just that.
Starring prolific American actor David Dastmalchian, whose previous credits include ‘Dune’, ‘Prisoners’, ‘The Boogeyman’, ‘The Suicide Squad’, ‘The Dark Knight’, and more, the found footage horror thriller follows a talk show that goes horribly (read: sinisterly) wrong. The ensemble cast also includes Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, and Fayssal Bazzi.
The Cameron Cairnes and Colin Cairnes directorial is all set to premiere on Lionsgate, sometime in September, making it available for Indian fans of the genre, plotline, and actors!
The movie follows a 1977 talk-show host who in an attempt to boost the ratings of his show invites a possessed girl and that eventually (and unsurprisingly) ends up turning the world upside down.
