All the retro Marvel fans, gather around and cheer as Daredevil is coming back, and this time, with his solo series. Those who lived and watched through the Netflix era of Marvel must know how valuable Daredevil and Punisher were for the franchise.
As they return, and that too in a surprisingly darker tone for Disney, it is evident that Disney is now determined to make content for adults as well, especially after Echo. When working with characters like Daredevil or Punisher, it is important to show blood to make them look more vicious.
After years of speculation, reshoots, and production, it is finally getting the release treatment.
Marvel Entertainment announced on Twitter a release date: you can expect it in May 2025. Though it might be slightly delayed, it is finally coming to the small screens. Marvel is also reportedly making some fine changes to the series. For starters, they created a new logo for the show, which was shown behind closed doors.
Personally, this logo, though it looks good, doesn’t really exceed the previous one and comes up a bit short. The prior logo had a retro Daredevil feel, and sometimes it’s better not to fix what’s not broken.
However, it’s not just the logo that Marvel messed up; they played it cheap with the number of episodes as well. From the dreams of 18 episodes, they cut it down to a mere 9. Marvel might be doing an injustice to the fans, but if they can deliver quality, Marvel will definitely have something special.
So, the date is May 2025, and the destination is Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned.
