When Is ‘Kraven: The Hunter’ Finally Hitting Theatres?

Previously slated for an August 30, 2024 theatrical release worldwide, famed director J. C. Chandor’s highly anticipated action-packed sci-fi feature ‘Kraven: The Hunter’ has officially been delayed.

Now hitting theatres on December 13, 2024, the star-studded thriller has taken up the ‘Karate Kid‘s original release date. The latter has now been pushed to May 30, 2025. With a prime and coveted Christmastime release date, Sony is positioning ‘Kraven’ as an R-rated option for the year-end.

The plotline of the film unravels as it follows the origin story behind the original Marvel Comics villain, long before his infamously notorious vendetta against Spider-Man. English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the lead role, marking his return to the MCU after playing Wanda Maximoff’s brother Pietro in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’.

Famous faces like Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe also star alongside. Apart from ‘Kraven’, Johnson will also be seen next in Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s upcoming zombie sci-fi feature ’28 Years Later’. Crowe has the horror feature ‘The Exorcism’ coming up as well. DeBose was most recently seen in Apple TV+’s thriller series ‘Argylle’, opposite Henry Cavill.

Columbia Pictures and Blumhouse’s next project ‘They Listen’ starring John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Havana Rose Liu, and Lukita Maxwell has now been slotted in ‘Kraven’s’ original date of August 30.
