The Indian cricket team and sports enthusiasts have still not fully recovered from the shocking and devastating loss at the ODI World Cup 2023 final, which was held on Sunday, 19th November. And in such a short span of time, the men in blue are all set to lock horns against the World Cup 2023 winning Australian team for a five-match T20 series.
The India-Australia T20 series is scheduled to begin from tomorrow, 23rd November and the opening match will be played at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. And the final T20 match will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 3rd December. All the matches of the T20 series will begin from 7 PM onwards.
For Indian cricket lovers who want to watch the India-Australia T20 series on their personal screens, they can stream the matches on the Jio Cinema OTT platform (mobile app and website) since it has the broadcasting rights for the series. Besides, viewers can also watch the T20 series on TV on Sports 18 channel. And the good thing is that you can stream the upcoming series on Jio Cinema for free.
The Indian side for the forthcoming T20 series against Australia won’t have some big players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohd. Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, K.L. Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja. Instead, the T20 Indian cricket team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav. With just around six months left for the T20 Cricket World Cup, the Indian side will try to do well in the upcoming series so that a new team with a mix of experienced players and fresh faces can play together to win the cup.
It will also be interesting to see whether the India-Australia T20 series will attract a significant number of viewers. The World Cup 2023, which was streamed on the Disney+ Hotstar platform reached a record peak viewership of around a whopping 5.9 crores. But since many fans are still in a dejected state and since it’s not a World Cup, it will be interesting to observe how much viewership will Jio Cinema get with the upcoming T20 series.
