Where To Stream Dev Patel’s ‘The Green Knight’ In India!

Amazon has been on a roll today with back to back major updates coming in. Earlier today it announced its bundling service where in it introduced Prime Video Channels available with an easy add-on subscription. And now it has launched its slate for the festive season with some amazing and much awaited titles on the list.

Coming straight to the point and the reason you are here is that Dev Patel’s much talked about and critically acclaimed film ‘The Green Knight’ is coming to India and Amazon Prime Video is the one to grab its streaming rights for the country as it did in other regions around the world.

‘The Green Knight’ is based on a timeless Arthurian legend and is an epic fantasy adventure drama that tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew. He embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men.

Directed, written, edited and produced by David Lowery, ‘The Green Knight’ stars Academy Award nominee and BAFTA winner Dev Patel (‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’), Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander (‘Tomb Raider’, ‘The Danish Girl’), Joel Edgerton (‘Zero Dark Thirty’, ‘The Great Gatsby’), Sarita Choudhary (‘Mississippi Masala’), Sean Harris (‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’) and Ralph Ineson (‘Game Of Thrones’, ‘The Office’) among others.

‘The Green Knight’ opened to positive reviews from critics upon its release in July especially for its direction, theme, cinematography and Dev Patel’s performance. The film had released in the US and Canada alongside ‘Jungle Cruise’ and ‘Stillwater’ and did well commercially too in its opening weekend.

Amazon Prime Video has not announced an exact release date for ‘The Green Knight’ but going by their festive season target it will probably release around late October or early November. While it will stream in its original English language, information on any other regional audio is yet to be revealed.

The other titles scheduled for festive release on Amazon Prime Video include ‘Bhramam’, Malayalam remake of ‘Andhadhun’; two Tamil films – Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’ and Sasikumar and Jytotika’s ‘Udanpirappe’; two Hindi films – Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Udham Singh’ and Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Dybbuk’; Dev Patel’s ‘The Green Knight’ and three Amazon Original series – ‘ Maradona: Blessed Dream’, ‘One Mic Stand Season 2’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’.
