Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar-Jones starring “Under the banner of heaven,” the true crime/ mystery drama television series is out now on streaming giant Hulu. This limited series premiered on April 28, dropping the first two episodes exclusively on the US streaming platform, and new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays. Season finale will be aired on 2nd June.
With just the release of two episodes, the popularity of this series has definitely reached the zenith by garnering 7.1 rating on IMDB and 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Based on the non-fiction book of Jon Krakauer by the same headline, the series is a true crime-drama about the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her 15 month old daughter, set in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The series follows pious Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) as his inspection about the murder lead him to the sinister underbelly of the Latter-day Saints (LDS) religion, where he discovers horrifying aftercomes of religious extremities. This lead Pyre to question his own faith as he unravels this appalling case.
Few of the other members from the ensemble cast includes Tyner Rushing, Christopher Heyerdahl, Sam Worthington, Wyatt Russell, Rory Culkin, Gil Birmingham, Billy Howle and Denise Gough.
“Under the banner of heaven” is produced by FX and it will air exclusively on Hulu. But Indian audiences don’t have the access to Hulu but it’s not a problem as FX officially announced that people from the international markets can stream this series on Disney+ under the star banner and Star+ for Latin America.
