Following the success of ‘American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing’ and more recently ‘American Manhunt: O. J. Simpson’, Netflix had announced launch of next instalment of the franchise ‘American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden’ focusing on Islamic extremist Osama bin Laden on the streamer on March 10th, 2025.
But even after more than 24 hours the docuseries is yet to start streaming on the platform. Moreover, it has been postponed indefinitely with a coming soon tag on the Netflix app. This has disappointed viewers who had been eagerly waiting for the docuseries.
Directed by Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, ‘American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden’ is a three part docuseries that promises to provide an in depth look at how after the September 11 attack in the US, the world came together to hunt down the founder of the militant Islamist organization al-Qaida, Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind it all.
The documentary series features interviews of prominent people in the US government who were involved in the global mission to catch him and how it took over 10 years to do so.
9/11 happened in the US but it was much more global in impact and almost everyone around the world heard of Osama bin Laden in the media after it. Making this documentary even more intriguing because the world has been waiting ever since to know what exactly underwent and how the world’s most wanted terrorist at a point in time got caught/killed.
According to online portals, this absence of ‘American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden’ from Netflix isn’t an issue specific to India but is being experienced across many territories like US, UK, and Australia among others.
Up until now the global streaming giant has not disclosed any reason as to why the premiere of ‘American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden’ has been held up and as to when it will land on Netflix. Stay tuned to binged.com for further updates!
