Which Streaming Platforms Are Ruling The Emmy Awards Nominations?

Can you smell the award season? Just like spring, it’s beautiful, and you can celebrate whatever is relevant. With yesterday’s nominations, the streaming platforms are at war to win the most awards. But some have more advantages than others. Let’s see who is competing for the most Emmy Award nominations.

Netflix: 107 Nominations
Expecting something else? The show is still more than relevant as Netflix has been constantly sitting at the top. With shows like The Crown and 3 Body Problem, Netflix will manage to dominate, probably again. But this time, it will have big competition from the second spot.

FX: 93 Nominations
Talking about the real underdog, FX is giving Netflix one of the toughest years in the competition. With 93 nominations, it has shows like Shōgun and The Bear that are top contenders to win some big categories this year.

HBO: 91 Nominations
About quality television, HBO is unparalleled and has almost no competition. From The Gilded Age to Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO has some of the strongest shows, and it is somewhat of a ritual from their side. But with FX’s rise and Netflix’s consistency, it will definitely have a tough time managing to do things.

AppleTV: 70 Nominations
Apple is becoming fairly relevant when it comes to quality television now as the tech company is investing massively in the entertainment industry. And being somewhat of an antithesis towards Netflix, it focuses on quality over quantity. The platform has shows such as Slow Horses and Palm Royale.

ABC: 38 Nominations
As we are done with the big boys, ABC comes out as the best of the rest. Over the years, the studio has produced some of the most interesting shows in history. And this year’s lineup includes warriors such as Abbott Elementary and Jimmy Kimmel Live! which can easily cause an upset.

CBS: 38 Nominations
More like an HBO on drugs, CBS is a hub for reality shows and talk shows. And this year, it will be one of the strongest competitors in categories that include reality shows and talk shows.

Amazon: 37 Nominations
Amazon’s strategy is biting at their tail as the platform’s lack of original shows is causing this downfall. It is quite surprising that Prime Video has so few nominations, considering it is one of the most dominant global platforms. Though it has shows like Fallout and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it will face tough competition from Netflix and FX in most categories.

NBC: 33 Nominations
Similar to CBS, NBC excels when it comes to talk shows and reality television. NBC is a strong competitor. The Voice is one of the most beloved TV shows, and with something like Late Night With Seth Meyers, it might cause some upsets.

Hulu: 26 Nominations
Hulu, though it comes under Disney now, has created some of the best shows over the years. And talking about success, Only Murders In The Building has been a global hit and might win big on the night.

And are you thinking we missed Disney? Practically speaking, this time Disney missed the point as a streaming giant. They had no significant shows in terms of nominations.
