Anand Deverakonda’s Middle Class Melodies skipped its theatrical released and streamed on Amazon Prime Video the last week. The movie has got a decent talk and the star of the moment is neither the hero nor the heroine. It is Goparaju Ramana who played the hero’s father, Kondal Rao in the movie.
The audience has related to the noisy father and he is so popular today. But Ramana is not a new artist. He had acted in around 20 films but only got notices with Middle Class Melodies. However, he is a veteran actor in Drama with experience of 1500 plays which he has been doing since his tenth standard.
Director Vinod Anantoju visited various Nataka Parishads and screened quite a lot of actors before finalizing Ramana for the role. Probably, that is why his performance in the movie is so natural. Interestingly, Ramana hails from Kolakalur where the movie is majorly shot.
“Believe it or not Television pays better than films for actors like us. I am flattered with the response I have been getting. People are saying offers will pour in for me. I am looking forward to making the best use of the audience’s blessings,” Ramana humbly says.
