After the splendid though surprising box office success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the gang has teamed up to bring audiences yet another horror comedy – another installment of the proven franchise! Yes, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is in the works, and Rooh Baba (Kartik Aaryan) even has a date locked for when he will return on the big screen. Producers Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series have locked a release date for the film. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will hit theatres on Diwali 2024, as a festive release.
Given the fact that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 released in theatres on a non-festival date and yet became a smashing hit, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is certain to get the cash registers ringing at ticket windows across the country. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the only film that has locked the Diwali 2024 release date until now. So there are bright chances that other Bollywood biggies will steer clear of the Diwali 2024 release date, giving Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 an unhindered run at the box office.
Like the earlier two movies in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will also be set in the backdrop of supernatural happenings. Kartik Aaryan returns as Rooh Baba from his earlier Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The rest of the cast is not locked as yet, but will soon be.
Anees Bazmee too returns to helm the third installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He had directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, while Priyadarshan had directed Akshay Kumar in the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa. T-Series are the producers of the franchise.
T-Series dropped a quirky teaser along with the announcement of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. It appears that Rooh Baba will be taken over by an evil spirit in the third iteration of Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
