Disney+ Hotstar, India’s official event partner for the ICC has announced some very important news. It will be streaming the T20 World Cup taking place in the USA, for free on its platform this year, bringing much joy to all the cricket enthusiasts all over the world. It is expected to begin on 2nd June, with the inaugural match being played between Canada and USA at the Grand Prairie Stadium.
This also comes off the back of the platform’s ridiculous success in offering free streaming services for the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023 on its mobile app. For desktop/web based viewers without a Disney+ Hotstar package, you would need to buy one so as to access the T20 World Cup games.
This World Cup edition has the bragging rights of hosting 20 teams, with a total of 55 matches slated to play. Segmented into 4 groups of five teams each, it’s not only the Test-playing nations that are participating, but also countries such as Oman, Scotland, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Nepal.
India’s schedule kicks off on June 5th against Ireland at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and assistance of Hardik Pandya, India will be looking to fight for glory with all guns blazing.
