Whoa! Official Teaser For HBO’s ‘House Of The Dragon’ Is Here!

HBO Max just did the unexpected! The streamer dropped a short and sharp teaser for its most-awaited show, ‘House Of The Dragon‘. As most readers will know, House Of The Dragon is a prequel show to ‘Game Of Thrones’, HBO’s most famous and successful show in its glittering history. The events of House Of The Dragon take place 200 years before the events of Game Of Thrones.

House Of The Dragon is based on George R R Martin’s 2018 book ‘Fire & Blood’. The book is set in a time period 300 years before the events of ‘A Song Of Fire And Ice’ – the book that was the basis of Game Of Thrones. House Of The Dragon will premiere on HBO Max and HBO sometime in 2022, most likely in the summer of the new year.

House Of The Dragon centres on the history of the House Targaryen, and how the Targaryens came to sit on the coveted ‘Iron Throne’ in King’s Landing. “Gods, Kings, Fire and Blood” says the voice-over in the one-minute teaser. And then goes on to add, “Dreams didn’t make us kings — dragons did”. The 10-part series will focus on how the Targaryens wrested the kingdom of Westeros with the help of dragons. There are said to be 17 dragons in House Of The Dragon! The teaser shows quick visuals of various characters in House Of The Dragon, along with compelling visuals of the size and scale of Game Of Thrones.
