Why F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Is Still So Relevant And Extremely Popular?

26 years since F.R.I.E.N.D.S. aired first and it doesn’t get old. Have you ever thought why is that so? It’s one of those amazing series you never get bored of watching. Be it any number of times and be it years later it never seems to loose relevance. Hats off to the brilliant people behind the show for a concept like that.

Everyone talks about the fun part but F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is one such show that captures almost every emotion a young adult deals with. Be it struggle in personal or professional life it’s all in there. It gives you those life lessons which no life coach would have given. It makes you believe that if they could do it you can too.

Anyone and everyone has a part of Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Ross within them and that’s what makes them so relatable. It’s tough to find a group so cohesive and trustworthy in real life but that doesn’t mean the makers wanted to present an ideal group of people. They all had their flaws and the best thing was they all accepted each other despite that.

Monica’s competitive spirit and the way she binds the group, Phoebe’s chill and crazy personality, Rachel’s style quotient and the desire to make it on her own, Chandler’s funny and understanding nature, Joey’s innocence and charm, Ross’ never ending quest to find love, these characters resonate in such a manner that it makes one wanna be a part of the group.

They will make fun of you, correct you when you are wrong, stand by you in your tough times, celebrate the good moments, understand you like no one else and love you for what you are. It wouldn’t be wrong to say they become more of a family. That’s how deep Friends is regardless of the fact that it’s categorised as a sitcom.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is a a go-to series for most of us when we feel beaten up by life. It has that instant charm to cheer up a disheartened soul while still giving a message in a very subtle way. Oh My God!! (Remember Janice?) Don’t you feel like binge-watching it right now after reading this?
