The fact that two of the most anticipated titles of the DC slate are not even a part of mainstream DC Studios says a lot. The 10 films/series that James Gunn announced are but mere words. The hardcore DC fans are waiting for The Batman 2 and Joker Folie à Deux.
The problems with DC Slate are many but they kind of don’t align with the typical DC chronology that should have been the ideal case. There is a reason Marvel started with Ironman and not someone like Antman.
The Flash is said to be the reset that is coming in June this year. To follow it, there will be the Blue Beetle film. Also, Shazam! Fury of the God is coming just next month.
The importance of these films becomes too insignificant in this situation. Because even after the so-called reboot, there still will be films like Blue Beetle that will go lost in the transition.
So the most perfect sort of films is clearly the Elseworlds which is clearly a masterpiece volcano. Joker and The Batman are some of the finest Comic Book Movies to come out in the last 5 years. Even The Penguin series is highly anticipated due to the involvement of Matt Reeves.
We hope that at least from 2025, DC remains consistent and serves its fans with good films.
