Why Javier Bardem Is Perfect For Playing MCU’s Galactus

Amidst all the rumours that are circling the highly anticipated MCU’s Fantastic Four reboot, the one that stands out the most is Pedro Pascal and Javier Bardem, who are in talks to play Reed Richards and Galactus, respectively. Pascal’s rumoured involvement with the project has met with a highly mixed response from the MCU fans. Some have openly welcomed him. While others are not sure if ‘The Last of Us’ actor has what it takes to be the one and only Mr Fantastic. However, the situation for Bardem is not that complicated. In fact, he is perfect for the role of Galactus in the MCU. Here’s why!

Galactus is a globally prominent character in the Marvel universe. He has been portrayed as a cosmic entity in the comics who devours planets to fuel his life force. Bardem’s exceptional acting abilities would convey the substantial power and seriousness associated with the larger-than-life character.

Plus, Galactus is known to have a commanding and deep voice. Bardem’s unique and authoritative voice could suit Galactus’ persona. Moreover, the Spanish actor has dealt with various genres and portrayed plenty of complex characters in his exceptional film career, ultimately making him perfect for the role of Galactus. Flicks like Before Night Falls (2000), No Country For Old Men (2007), Biutiful (2010), Skyfall (2012), Mother (2017), and many more are proof of Bardem’s ability to deal with a wide range of characters. He could easily give a new life to Galactus on the big screen.

Galactus is rumoured to make his MCU debut with Matt Shakman’s Fantastic Four film, according to a new story from the film critic Jeff Sneider. However, he has also mentioned that there is a chance that Bardem may not appear as Galactus in the upcoming MCU reboot in his report. It all depends upon the schedule of the Academy Award-winning actor.

Javier Bardem will be seen in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two as Stilgar. In addition, he is a part of Netflix’s animated feature, Spellbound. Stay tuned for more updates.
