Manikarnika Director Krish was directing Tollywood Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in a period film, Hari Hara Veeramallu. During the first Lockdown, the movie shooting has got stalled after two schedules and during the break, Krish planned a film, Konda Polam with Pawan Kalyan’s nephew, Vaishnav Tej, and finished it in less than two months.
Back then, there were rumors that the movie is a film made for the OTT. Binged.com has asked Krish about it in an interview. “I don’t know how that rumor started. But I always made this film for the theaters. I wanted to showcase the forests and tigers as a spectacle on the big screen. Though it got completed in a short time, it had a lot of VFX and grand scale. I was never in a hurry to release the film on OTT and was ready to wait. We always planned it for Dussehra 2021 and now, we are arriving for the same time,” Krish revealed.
Meanwhile, it is reliably learned that Amazon Prime Video is the frontrunner for Konda Polam after the release OTT rights. In case it is Amazon, the movie may arrive on the OTT space four weeks after its theater release which means around November 5th as Diwali Special.
