Probably to save another fiasco, makers have decided to release Cuttputlli on Disney+Hotstar. No wonder, Hotstar just like always acts as a magnet to all big films and the insane subscriber base of the platform will help them garner immense views.
But a few people know that Cuttputlli is a remake of a Tamil film called Ratsasan. The movie is a psychological thriller starring Vishnu Vishal, Amala Paul, and Saravanan in the lead roles.
The original Tamil version was very successful and surprisingly, it is streaming free on Jio Cinema.
It was also available on Disney+Hotstar but looking at the upcoming release, they may have removed it.
Now, the question arises, will Cuttputlli work on Disney+Hotstar when the original version is already available there?
Yes, of course, it will.
It is because of the language thing. The movie when it was available on Disney+Hotstar didn’t even have English subtitles let alone any other audio.
So, the movie is great but not very popular amongst the Hindi-speaking audience. Cuttputlli will help that problem get fixed.
And yes, the subject matter is engaging enough for the audience but everything depends on the execution.
