Will A Wedding Story Suffice Horror Cravings Of The Audience?

If you’re planning to make a horror movie and release it, say, on August 30th in theaters, there’s a big BUT to that plan. Yes, you know it …it’s Stree 2. Acting as the black hole of the horror genre, it’s devouring all the box office numbers. And now, we have A Wedding Story coming up.

So, there’s one big question.

Will it be a wedding that fans will enjoy, or will they regret every moment of it?

See, Stree 2 has set a certain standard for the audience, but there’s something important to consider. Stree 2 isn’t your typical serious horror movie; it’s more of a horror-comedy. So, is there still room for a serious horror film that the audience can appreciate?

Possibly, yes. A Wedding Story doesn’t have a flashy cast and didn’t do much promotion. It’s quite clear that it will have a tough time securing a stronghold at the box office, but with Stree 2 significantly slowing down, it’s up to the audience to decide if they want to give it a chance.

Indians do love their supernatural horror stories, but just after Independence Day, most casual moviegoers will likely take a break from theaters and recharge for The Greatest of All Time or Emergency.

But when it comes to horrors, it won’t be Stree 2 that threatens the market for A Wedding Story. Do you know what might? Though we’ll discuss it in another article, here’s a spoiler for you. On August 30th, a certain giant will be waiting, one that failed in its initial run but is now considered a cult classic.

Ladies and gentlemen…

Tumbbad.
