The successful actor-director duo Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are coming back to the big screen with ‘Singham Again’, their 14th film together. Coincidentally Ajay Devgn wrapped shooting for the film on the 13th anniversary of ‘Singham’, the first film from Shetty’s cop universe.
Devgn and Shetty started working together in the 90s and it’s been an incredible journey for them since then. The latter initially worked under the former and now 33 years later they are still going strong, as claimed by Shetty himself. The duo also confirmed ‘Singham Again’s’ Diwali 2024 release, snubbing any rumours of changes in release schedule for the film. This also means that the big clash between ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is still on.
Focusing on ‘Singham Again’ for now, its performance will be a testament to a few things. Firstly, it will be a much needed comeback for both Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty who have seen a little dip recently.
Moreover, if the film works like its predecessors, it will negate the general budding sentiment that its only the south directors who can create massy films. Furthermore, Box Office success of ‘Singham Again’ will provide a necessary thrust to the Hindi film industry that has been recovering well post pandemic but still needs more blockbusters.
