Will Bradley Cooper’s Nightmare Alley Stream on OTT in India?

Guillermo Del Toro’s latest addition to his renowned filmography, Nightmare Alley, is now streaming on HBO Max and Hulu streaming services. And the lovers of Hollywood in India are keen to know more about the release of the remake of 1947’s original entry in the country. Will we see it arriving on an Indian OTT platform anytime soon? Or do we have no alternative but to wait for its Blu-Ray version? Let’s find out!

The movie became Del Toro’s 11th directional project. It served as the official remake of the 1947 version, inspired by a novel of the same name published a year ago before the original movie’s release. This one is the second cinematic adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham’s work.

Bradley Cooper’s neo-noir psychological thriller got released theatrically alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man No Way Home on December 17 last year. And we don’t have to tell you which movie reigned supreme at the global box office. The latter has grossed more than $1.7 billion. On the other hand, Del Toro’s directional bombed heavily, earning only $23 million against its $60 million budget.

However, the movie received critical acclaim and a strong positive response from the moviegoers. A majority of the viewers believe that it serves as a perfect homage to the 1947 original entry. Although, it didn’t top the latter by any means.

Nightmare Alley’s strong critical praise has successfully attracted the attention of Hollywood lovers in India. They want to know when the film will arrive on the Indian streaming platforms. Well, we have already informed you that it is currently available on HBO Max and Hulu. But, we have no official confirmation from the makers regarding its OTT release in the country. We cannot deny that the lack of interest of Indian viewers in this movie is the prime reason for this scenario. It seems like we have no other alternative but to wait for its Blu-Ray version to come out. Stay tuned for more updates.

Apart from Bradley Cooper, Nightmare Alley stars Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, David Strathairn, and Mary Steenburgen with Guillermo Del Toro at the helm.
