Will Breathe S2 Act As The Saviour Of Amazon Originals In India?

Amazon Prime Video is one of India’s biggest OTT platforms but is struggling to provide its audiences with more original web series with good quality. Meanwhile, other OTT giants are producing back-to-back wonderful shows that are gaining huge love from audiences as well as international acclaim.

The last show by Amazon India that was hyped beyond imagination was Panchayat Season 2. It had a very unexpected ending, very relatable details, and a deep emotional touch. Panchayat 2 spread like wildfire and impressed large audiences. But since that, Prime Videos have not produced something so original and so hyped. ‘The Rings Of Power’ is going successfully with ‘House Of The Dragon’ and is one of the biggest shows in the world. But Prime Video does not have that much contribution to Indian OTT right now.

After long ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’ season 2 is likely to be accepted by audiences with that kind of love. Abhishek Bachchan is known as one of the most underrated actors in India. He now has a really dedicated fanbase that he earned with his great script choices. Breathe, starring R. Madhavan and Amit Sadh, and its spinoff ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows Season 1’ both have good ratings and reviews and people are excited to know what happens next. There is a buzz around the show and most probably it is going to be the next big thing in Indian OTT.

Breathe S2 has the potential to make Amazon Prime Video overcome this gap and again place web shows produced by the platform in a much revered place. Amazon Prime Video should produce more shows like this and learn from audiences’ reactions what they want.
