Thor star Chris Hemsworth will reportedly appear in the upcoming Mad Max spinoff project, Furiosa, with George Miller at the helm. This entry will serve as a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Charlize Theron got the opportunity to play this amazing character in that one. And we have Anya Taylor-Joy to fill her shoes in the spinoff movie. She will portray the younger version of the titular character. Miller originally wanted to cast Theron for this movie. He wanted to digitally de-age her. But the not-so-flawless digital de-ageing process in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman forced the Mad Max helmer to bury this idea for good. Wait! Let’s get back to Chris Hemsworth.!
One of the New York Times reporters, Kyle Buchanan, has claimed that fans will see Hemsworth in a villainous role in the Furiosa movie. He recently appeared in a podcast named Blank Check with Griffin and David. There he revealed that the live-action Thor may play Dr Dementus in the forthcoming spinoff.
Dementus is being hailed as a character who is “breathtakingly handsome”. He possesses the face of an angel. However, his forehead is brutally scarred with a deep wound. And that wound has multiple stitches on it.
Apart from Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy, we have Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Tom Burke in the Furiosa film. It is scheduled to release on May 24, 2024.
